A Full Backyard, Rebuilt the Easy Way

A Full Backyard, Rebuilt the Easy Way

Sod installation, landscape rock, a new sprinkler system, and fresh plantings — one crew, one clear plan, finished on time with no surprise charges.

Location: Local Area
  • Fresh sod laid across the entire backyard
  • New sprinkler system trenched and installed
  • Landscape rock beds for low-maintenance zones
  • HOA-requested stump removal and front yard tree planting

This project shows a complete backyard transformation — fresh sod, landscape rock, sprinkler system installation, and new trees and bushes — finished on schedule with no surprise charges. If you've been searching for sod installation near me, this is what the process looks like when it's planned right from day one.

The customer started with a detailed landscape design that laid out costs and a timeline before any work began. Our crew prepped the yard, trenched the sprinkler lines, placed the rock, laid the sod, and planted the trees and bushes. We bring the same approach to all of our landscaping services, whether the project is a lawn or a driveway.

When the HOA asked for a new front yard tree late in the project, we removed an old stump and planted one without hassle — then followed up afterward to confirm the customer was fully satisfied. For a look at heavier structural work, see our retaining wall projects from across the area.

On-site walkthrough

Part One: The Consultation

The customer had a backyard that needed everything: sod, rock, sprinklers, trees, and bushes. They wanted a complete transformation — a yard they could actually use — without juggling multiple contractors or guessing at the cost.

They connected directly with owner Kyle to talk through the project. That's how we work: you discuss your yard with the person whose name is on the business, not a call center.

After the walkthrough, we put together a detailed design plan with clear costs and a timeline before any work began. The customer knew exactly what we would build, what it would cost, and when it would be done.

One extra item surfaced along the way: the HOA required a new tree in the front yard, which meant an old stump had to come out first. We folded it into the plan without hassle.

We absolutely love our double driveway and path to our backyard! They excavated and prepared the areas for leveling with heavy duty rebar to prepare which took a day and a half. Then the concrete pouring was the third day. The edges are clean and they made even and brushed square lines. The price was very reasonable (we compared with two others). It looks fantastic we are so happy with their work!

Easy Green Landscaping was amazing to work with from start to finish. From our initial consultation, I could tell that Kyle understood our vision and what we wanted to accomplish. He worked closely with us to create a plan that fit our budget this year while still using high-quality materials and thoughtfully leaving certain areas for a future phase—without making the yard look unfinished or like a work in progress. I had also mentioned that we hoped to complete the project before our daughter’s first birthday. Kyle remembered that deadline and made sure the team delivered, which meant so much to us. The crew, led by Pedro on some days and Octavio on others, was top-notch. They were professional, communicative, and incredibly thorough throughout the entire project. Deisy in the front office was equally wonderful, responding quickly to my questions and making communication and payments easy. I went back and forth quite a bit on plant selections, and the entire team was patient and helpful through every decision. The project included demolition, a retaining wall, regrading and hydroseeding, planting, sprinkler and water connection upgrades, concrete curbing, a paver patio, and a rock bed. The finished result is beautiful, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. We will absolutely continue working with Easy Green Landscaping on future projects. Photos are from completion to progress and then start.

We've been looking to add a water feature to our backyard for a few years. We finally found 3 highly rated contractors to get bids. Kyle's bid was higher than one of the companies but his company was doing much more (bigger water feature, redo existing retaining walls, install concrete pads and stamped pathway, slab stone steps, plants, extra landscape lights, sprinkler work, bury drainpipes). The third company disappointedly only gave us a bid for their design work. I can say that I am so glad we went with Easy Green. The pictures I provided don't do it justice - the old space was weed ridden, overgrown, and the existing retaining walls were in disarray. Kyle's guys worked non-stop, efficiently, and artistically. The final product exceeded my expectations by far. It was a little late in the season for plants so they will be coming out in the spring to install the 25 perennials and ground cover plants. It looks so beautiful to me even without the plant life. The water feature itself has four waterfalls, wonderful lighting, a skimmer for leaves, a heavy duty pump submerged deep in the ground, and an autofill feature attached to the sprinkler system. The peaceful sound of the flowing water is so relaxing. I love hiking in the mountains and this feels like one of the streams I hope to come across while on the trail. The materials they used were high end. The slabs for the pathway must be over 100 pounds each - they are solid and aren't moving. We couldn't be happier with the outcome!

The entire team at Easy Green made our landscaping process beyond easy. They all provided amazing communication during the project planning through the final walk through. I had multi quotes on this project and they were EASILY the best first conversation we had. We’re very happy we chose Easy Green Landscaping for our landscaping project and retaining wall in Southshore.

We hired Easy Green Landscaping in the late summer 2023 to plan a large-scale backyard renovation. Our yard was an atrocity and Easy Green helped us lay out a methodical plan starting first with laying down a nearly 1,500 sq ft. colored and stamped concrete patio (our backyard is approx. 6,000sf). The crew was phenomenal. They worked so hard to get our concrete patio to be perfect and we could not be more pleased. Thank you so much for all the extra efforts you took to make us happy. We sincerely appreciate you all. Our many neighbors have come by and said the patio is BEAUTIFUL and we agree.
